Westminster OS v Golden Grove

In a rematch of the pre-season trial game, the result remained the same with Golden Grove pilling on the goals at Glandore in round 4. The Dragons were competitive for much of the game but never managed to get within a couple of kicks of the league leaders. A seven goal last quarter to the away side blew out the scoreboard leaving them with a 10 goal victory and cementing their place on top of the ladder. After going goalless against Flinders Park last week, Brayden Shaw found himself back in the goals with a bag of seven to go with his six goal effort against Gaza earlier in the year. Best on ground, though, was veteran Jake Pitman who also managed to grab himself two goals along the way. From the home side perspective, the goals were evenly spread and Todd Marsh walked away with best on ground votes. Westminster join CBC and Flinders Park on one win from their four games making their clash with the reds next week an absolutely imperative one whilst Grove head into the bye undefeated.
