Broadview 16.16-112 def Old Ignatians 14.4-88 by 24 points at Broadview Oval

Broadview sent a message to the rest of the competition with a comfortable 24-point victory over Old Ignatians at home. It was a high-scoring affair and Broadview were off to the perfect start as they put on six first-quarter goals to take an 18-point lead into the first break. The second term saw the home side extend their lead to 30 points and nearly put the game out of reach for Old Ignatians. The second half saw a more spirited effort from the Ignatians but it did not prove enough despite outscoring Broadview in the third and last quarters. Matthew Taylor starred for Broadview kicking a six-goal haul while Kobi Russell was also instrumental with his three-goal effort. Domenic Pratico starred and was crucial in bringing home the victory for the Broadview Tigers.
